Description
Sphere Runner is an early personal Unity practice project I created while learning Unity and C# after completing Cube Runner. Like Dodge Box, it reflects a stage where I was still heavily dependent on tutorials and AI tools to understand and implement game systems. The game features a controllable sphere that can move left and right and jump across a platform-based course. Players collect coins to increase their score while using ramps to jump across gaps and avoid hazards. Falling through gaps between platforms or colliding with spikes ends the game. I also implemented the core UI and game flow, including a tap-to-start screen, score display, game-over screen, restart button, and quit button.

Highlights
Sphere-Based Movement
Implemented left-to-right movement and jumping for the player-controlled sphere.
Coin Collection
Added collectible coins that increase the player's score.
Ramp-Based Gameplay
Used ramps to create jumps and allow players to navigate the platform course.
Platform Gaps
Added breaks between platforms where falling results in game over.
Hazard System
Implemented spike collisions as another game-over condition.
Complete Game Flow
Built the tap-to-start interface, score display, game-over screen, restart, and quit functionality.
Early Unity Learning Project
Strengthened my understanding of Unity scripting, gameplay mechanics, physics, collision handling, and UI systems.
Step Toward Independence
This project represents the stage immediately before Dodge Box, where I was still learning through tutorials and AI assistance before deliberately challenging myself to work independently.
