Description
Open World System is a personal experimental project focused on developing the core systems required for a large-scale, open-world experience on mobile devices. The project was designed as a flexible and scalable foundation for integrating features such as vehicles, weapons, NPCs, combat, and interactive gameplay systems. I developed the core systems independently, including player controls, vehicle mechanics, shooting, unarmed combat, NPC AI, and an in-game cheat system. The project was intended to continue into further development and art production, but development was paused as I shifted focus toward other professional opportunities. The existing prototype demonstrates substantial progress across its core gameplay and technical systems.

Highlights
Vehicle System
Developed vehicle entry and exit, shooting from vehicles, drifting, traction control, ABS, ECS, vehicle damage, and dynamic vehicle audio systems.
Advanced Weapon System
Implemented pistols, SMGs, rifles, sniper rifles, RPGs, and grenades with weapon-specific handling, recoil, camera shake, aiming, and sniper-scope mechanics.
Dynamic Character Combat
Built unarmed combat with target detection, target switching, IK-based aiming, root-motion movement, hit reactions, camera feedback, and NPC targeting.
NPC AI
Developed NavMesh and root-motion-based NPC behavior with patrolling, combat, fleeing, stun reactions, and ragdoll responses to gunfire.
Interactive Cheat System
Created an in-game phone interface for activating gameplay cheats including super jump, low gravity, super sprint, super punch, vehicle spawning, and a skyfall mechanic.
Scalable Architecture
Structured the core gameplay systems to remain flexible and extensible, allowing additional mechanics and functionality to be integrated as development progresses.
