Description

ArchViz is a personal Unity project exploring an interactive mobile solution for architectural visualization, with the long-term idea of developing it into a service-based product. The application allows architects, engineers, and designers to present 3D spaces through immersive exploration modes without requiring a VR headset. Users can navigate environments in First-Person Mode or freely fly through structures using Drone Mode, while touch, joystick, and gyroscope controls provide different interaction options. I developed the application independently, focusing on high-quality visuals, mobile performance, and an intuitive exploration experience. Development was eventually paused as the project proved difficult to scale and I shifted focus toward professional opportunities.

Highlights

  1. First-Person Exploration

Implemented ground-level navigation that allows users to experience architectural spaces from a realistic perspective.

  2. Drone Mode

Developed a free-flight exploration mode that allows users to move through walls and ceilings to inspect structures from virtually any viewpoint.

  3. VR-Like Mobile Experience

Integrated gyroscope-based camera control alongside touch and joystick input to create an immersive experience without requiring a VR headset.

  4. High-Quality Mobile Visualization

Focused on delivering detailed 3D visuals while optimizing the application for mobile hardware.

  5. Customizable Experience

Added controls for gyroscope and touch sensitivity, field of view, graphics quality, and music.

  6. Product Exploration

Developed the project as an experiment toward a potential service-based architectural visualization product, although development was later paused due to scalability limitations.
